F

First Match:

November 21, 2022, 6 PM SGT

Stadium:

Al Bayt Stadium

Morocco easily advanced to the World Cup finals for the sixth time, winning their final qualification match against the Democratic Republic of the Congo 5-2 on aggregate.

Their morale is high as they look to find a way past the World Cup group stages for the very first time since 1986, having won all but one of their eight games, scoring 25 goals while allowing just 3. The only point they managed to snag in the last tournament was a tie with Spain that was salvaged in injury time.

Before that, they let in a late goal to Iran and barely lost to Portugal, despite Cristiano Ronaldo scoring the game-winner. This year they lost in the quarterfinals of the African Cup of Nations against Egypt, 1-2 in overtime.

Achraf Hakimi

Key Player: Achraf Hakimi (Paris Saint Germain)

Hakimi, at the young age of 23, has already won multiple titles on the international stage, including the Italian and French league championships, the German Supercup with Dortmund, and the UEFA Champions League with Real Madrid.

No matter what happened between the management and some internationals like Hakim Ziyech, Morocco is not a team to be taken lightly if they have such superstars in their lineup.
