Located in Al Rayyan, just outside of Doha, Education City has a population of several of the world's top colleges. It opened in 2020 and hosted the 2020 FIFA Club World Cup, which Bayern Munich won, along with some 2020 AFC Champions League matches and five matches in the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup due to its use by university athletic teams and the Qatar Women's football team following the World Cup.
