The Al Janoub Stadium, near the coastal city of Al Wakrah to the south of Doha, hosted the Amir Cup final between Al Sadd and Al Duhail in 2019 and will host the AFC Champions League Final for both the Ulsan Hyundai of South Korea and Persepolis of Iran in 2020. Additionally, six matches were played there during the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup. The stadium is a part of a larger sports complex with stores, restaurants, and horse tracks, and its capacity will be cut in half after the World Cup.
