Canada was one of the qualifying surprises, but they finished first in CONCACAF and therefore qualified for their second World Cup (the first one was in Mexico in 1986). Canada didn't score a single goal in that tournament, but they'll have plenty of valuable experience at this year's event and will be ready to compete in the 2026 World Cup as co-hosts.
After winning their first 17 qualifying games without losing a single one, they finally lost after securing their spot in Qatar. After losing in the Gold Cup semifinals last July, they are still a potential tournament surprise.
Key Player: Alphonso Davies (Bayern Munich)
Davies, who is only 22 years old, has won numerous trophies during his time at Bayern, notably four Bundesliga championships, two cup championships, as well as the UEFA Champions League.
Despite being a defender, he finished qualifying with the third-most points after scoring five goals and dishing out three assists in 13 games. This Canadian team's future rests on the shoulders of Davies, who is destined to be a legend for years to come.
