Group:

D

First Match:

November 22, 2022, 9 PM SGT

Stadium:

Education City Stadium

Having reached the semi-finals of the European Championships last year and being eliminated by hosts England on a hotly contested extra-time penalty kick, the squad has certainly felt positive. Denmark surpassed Group F during qualifying by getting victories in their first 9 games and only failing once after qualification was secured.

After advancing from the Group Stages in 4 of their 5 World Cup appearances, Denmark was eliminated in the Round of 16 by eventual champion Croatia on penalties in 2014.

Few will forget the terrifying images from the opening game of last year's Euros when Christian Eriksen fell, but the team came back strong to finish in fourth place thanks to some spectacular performances.

Andreas Skov Olsen

Key Player: Andreas Skov Olsen (Club Brugge)

Olsen, who is only 22 and recently relocated to Brugge from Bologna, stands to gain a lot from this competition.

Before turning 20, he dominated the Norwegian Tippeligaen with 22 goals in 36 matches, and he's done the same for his country, tallying 7 in 21 appearances. Earlier this year, he tied for first place in qualifying goals and also scored in the Nations League.
